ABOUT THE MERCANTILE RETAIL

Consisting of approximately 20,000 square feet of ground floor and mezzanine space, The Mercantile Retail is simultaneously historic and modern.

The Mercantile architecturally exhibits characteristics of The Chicago School-Beau Arts design, with one of its most notable features being the unique floor to ceiling windows walls.  This makes The Mercantile one of the earliest examples of curtain wall construction in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Mercantile’s unique interior space is raw: featuring concrete floors, brick and plaster walls, unfinished ceilings and a metal railed mezzanine overlooking the perimeter of the ground floor.

The Mercantile is located in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles, directly adjacent to The Pacific Electric Lofts and Artisan House Restaurant.  This provides multiple dynamic filming venues and backdrops without thus providing one the most dynamic filming venues without additional set-up and breakdown charges/expenses.
